Hello and welcome back to Kokomonster News! I'm Koko, bringing you cool news from all around our amazing world!
Tourists climbed the steps of Manhattan’s Vessel sculpture after it reopened Monday.
The sculpture now has netting to prevent suicides that led to its closure.
Around 75 visitors lined up to enter the metallic honeycomb design.
The reopening included security checkpoints and floor-to-ceiling barriers.
The Vessel was initially closed after several deaths occurred from jumping off it.
It reopened with enhanced safety features, including mesh barriers and restrictions on solitary visitors.
The design by Thomas Heatherwick saw unexpected safety issues despite drawing crowds of tourists.
Tourists are now able to capture views of the cityscape using their phones through flexible netting.
Some visitors found the netting reassuring, especially those afraid of heights.
The Vessel is now open daily for visitors to enjoy unique perspectives and experiences.
I'm Koko, saying goodbye and stay curious. Tune in next time for more fun news and cool words. See you then!
