該研究表明,人類可以向這些微小的水肺潛水員學習未來潛在的仿生材料。

Water anoles are known as the world's smallest scuba divers.

They can stay underwater for up to 20 minutes by forming bubbles over their heads to take in oxygen.

These small lizards are not very speedy, so diving and hiding under the water is their best escape strategy.

Researchers from Binghamton University found that the bubbles help the lizards stay underwater longer, providing them a place to hide from predators.

Male anoles tend to stay underwater for 20 seconds less than females on average.
The study suggests that humans can learn from these tiny scuba divers for potential bio-inspired materials in the future.
